I was blessed to be nominated for The Liebster Award by the fabulous Ann Marie Ruby – check out her post right here!
I’ll be honest, I hadn’t heard of this award, and so I did a bit of digging to figure out what it’s all about. It’s an award to help newer blogs get discovered, which is something I truly love as a new blogger myself! These days you are able to nominate whomever you choose, large or smaller blog. I’ve loved meeting so many amazing people on this blog journey so far! Every single person I’ve connected with has left an imprint on my heart, and made me a better person each and every day.
And that is the biggest surprise to me so far, less than 3 months into this new life. I never ever expected this, and I am really excited to continue to grow and see what lies ahead in 20q9 and beyond.
I will answer Ann Marie’s 11 questions and then nominate 11 newer bloggers I have fallen in love with!
Who are you in your own words?
Out the gate – a tough question!
If I had to describe myself right at this moment, I would say that I am just a girl who most of the time thinks she’s doing it ok. I’m competitive to a fault, but eager to learn and achieve every goal I set for myself. I love people, but cherish alone time, and fight for it. I want everyone to win, and truly believe that it’s possible. I am overly trusting, but never forget if I’ve been wronged somehow. I forgive easily, but never ever forget. I’m a recovering people pleaser.
What is your life goal?
My life goal is to travel the world, and teach others how to create a life that they love.
Today humans are lost and stranded without humanity. How could we the humans bring back humanity?
I think the most important thing that we could all do is listen to each other, without trying to push our own agenda. I see flashes of this happening with Millenials and their children, and it gives me great hope. The other thing that we can do is truly live by The Golden Rule… do unto others, as you would like done to you.
That would solve a lot of the challenges we have today.
Do you believe in dreams?
I didn’t use to, but I do now. In fact, I’m living my dream now. Is my life as perfect as in my dream? No, but it’s close and getting closer every single day.
Do you believe in soulmates?
Yes and no. I think all relationships are meant to be and predetermined, but at the same time, if both parties aren’t completely invested in making the relationship successful, then it won’t flourish to its full potential.
What is your favorite song? Why is it that you love this song?
Umm, I am embarrassed to say that I don’t have a favorite song. I love lots of songs, and sing unbelievably bad to them all, but I can’t pick just one. As a child of the 80’s, I relate strongly to The Cure, Depeche Mode and Tears For Fears.
If you could spread the messages of only one historical figure, who would you choose, and why?
I would spread the message of Mahatma Gandhi, specifically his message of peace. I really wish the world wasn’t filled with as much hate as it is. It’s sad.
Where on this world would you love to live for the rest of your life, and why?
Hmmm. That’s a tough one, because I haven’t been everywhere I’ve wanted to explore yet. But if I had to pick a place right now, I choose the Oregon Coast, probably in the Newport area. I know that I need to be near the ocean, and I also know I prefer more moderate temperatures.
What are life’s biggest blessings within your sacred eyes?
I think the biggest blessings of life are the relationships with others. Like-minded relationships fill my soul, and people who don’t have my views and can express them in a way that challenges my way of thinking makes me more well rounded.
If you could go all around the world and vacation forever, or be with your family within your own home, what would you choose?
I would travel the world with my husband, which is one of my dreams actually. I am a full time RVer, so we are halfway there.
Love, live, and laugh, the three awakening wonders of life, do you live within these sacred beliefs of life?
I sure try my hardest to live by this. Some days are harder than others, but what helps keep me in this headspace is the reminder that life runs so much smoother when I live in love, and laugh at my own silliness first.
These were all very thought provoking questions, and I really hope this gives a little insight into where my mind goes from minute to minute.
